Dear parents, students and staff of the Canadian Bilingual School,
It is my pleasure to welcome you all back to school during the new academic year 2021-2022, where we return to regular on-campus education with measures and restrictions in place considering the health requirements stipulated by Ministry of Health as well as the Ministry of Education. I see the happiness of children to be back in school interacting with their teachers and friends.

The entire world has experienced a global health crisis due to Covid-19 pandemic, which directly affected all facets of life, including the education field. As the world was forced to adapt to online education for more than a whole academic year, we too effectively adapted as a school community, picking up the educational process without hesitation. We used MS teams and various online learning software to optimize interactions between students and their teachers. It was a most successful and fulfilling online learning experience.

We use our school’s mission statement to “promote a respectful, safe and supportive environment, encouraging high expectations and academic success”. We strive to keep abreast of best practices to help our students achieve their goals. At CBS, the character traits are used to develop and inspire individual students to realize their potential which we hope will in turn benefit the community at large.

At CBS, we are proud of our qualified, experienced and well-trained faculty, who are dedicated to helping students develop a curiosity and interest in the world around them. Our students love coming to school because the process of learning is exciting and intellectually stimulating.

We also believe in the importance of partnerships between parents and the school, as this collaboration is the best way to cater to each child’s learning needs. A child’s success is directly related to parental involvement in their personal and academic growth. Therefore, we welcome feedback from parents on any matters related to the interests of their children.

Finally, I would like to express my happiness at seeing the excellent attendance and levels of learning that happened during the online period of 2020-2021. I am hoping this commitment will continue in the current year and improve still further.

I wish the entire CBS community a successful academic year, with all of us back in school.

Ms. Maha Al Turkait
