Technology

The use of technology to enhance student learning and efficiency in the business office is an important driving force at the Canadian Bilingual School.

There are two well-equipped computer labs, with 30 computers in each room, having the latest and up-to-date configurations. Additionally, the JK and SK classrooms have technology centers so that students start having access to technology from an early age. Students in high school are encouraged to use iPads for learning and smart boards/ interactive projectors are installed in all classrooms to make the learning experience more collaborative.

The library and school resources are catalogued using the Follet system. The school information management system (RenWeb) facilitates communication between the school and parents with information being readily available to staff and parents on individual student progress. Additional technology resources at the Canadian Bilingual School include, biometric devices for handling staff attendance and the use of school-wide facilities management software to track maintenance, security and housekeeping.

We are equipped with high-end servers and firewall for internet security. We also have trained and professional IT staff to support faculty and students. Most of the school premises are monitored by CCTV cameras to enhance security. Periodic training on the various school technology and software is provided to ensure that all school resources are used optimally.
